Bryan Fuller Returning to Heroes?
November 7, 2008
Entertainment Weekly reports that former "Heroes" writer (and "Pushing Daisies" creator) Bryan Fuller may rejoin the show now that co-executive producers/writers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander have been let go.
"I am exclusive to 'Daisies' through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which will be mid-January," Fuller said. "If 'Daisies' isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at 'Heroes.'"
It's unlikely ABC will pick up more episodes of "Daisies" considering the show is currently ranked at No. 64 and attracts just 6.14 million viewers.
Fuller, who was responsible for the critically-acclaimed "Company Man" episode of "Heroes," also created "Dead Like Me" for Showtime and Fox's "Wonderfalls."

Thank god for a new writer, though someone never before involved with the show would have been good. I'm posting just to stop one of the usual morons saying 'first'

It'll be good to have him back. I knew "Daisies" was doing bad, but I didn't know it was doing THAT bad. I think the series never lived up to its first episode. The pilot for "Pushing Daisies" was brilliant. It seemed like the perfect fairy tale. I also think that's why the show didn't work. It really was an idea that worked great in one story. It probably should have been a movie instead of a TV show.

Pushing Daisies the second best hour-long television show (Mad Men being first obviously) is going to get cancelled and that just shows how people don't like quality, they rather watch something awful like Heroes

Good. Heroes desperately needs him back.

One of the Best Shows on TV is Getting Canned because of Ratings. Pushing Daisies is Amazing. Yet the Dumbest Show on Right Now, Two an a Half Men, gets Huge Ratings and Mindless People Love it. I Can't stand Laugh Tracks/Live Studio Audience...Forced Laughter B.S.! Pushing Daisies needs to be Saved from Network Execs. I bet this Show gets more Ratings then any CW Show. Arrg!
Chi McBride's Emerson Cod is the Best.

I'm enjoying Season 3 more than 2 but it needs a little more oomph. This is decent news.

I must be weird, but i think this season is pretty good, not season 1 but still good. Powers every episode, Gabriel going good and being a complete bad-a, i think its more action packed, but hey I like Doctor Who, what do i know about this stuff?

I too agree that this season is lacking... something. The first season was perfect. The second was sad. This season is in need of the ability to stay continutitous (is that a word?). What I mean is that they flip around so much, and yet never get anywhere. Flipping around from character to character is fine, but when you have a character flip from good to bad, to on-screen a lot, to not seen in an entire episode - well... it just seems stupid. When you have the heroes making choices that would NEVER be made, such as when Peter's Dad is trying to explain to him what's what, and Peter won't even let him finish. That's ridiculous, after being manipulated so long by his mother, why wouldn't he just shut his pie-hole and listen to what dad has to say? Just stupid writing. I can't wait to see a fresh take, because this show is worth it. It's really a great premise, and one that I've enjoyed... until late.
By the way... bring back TV's 'Different Strokes' and cast Samuel Jackson and Morgan Freeman as Willis and Arnold (those guys are cast in every other Hollywood production that requires African-American actors).

Tut tut, Thong Bender. You boasted your lameness, and then got shafted in the process.

That's good because those were great episodes that he did. Go The Goatman.

How can any of you people say that "Pushing Daisies" is the best show on TV?? I'll admit it was clever... at the beginning. But then it just got repetitive. The only reason why it made it to a second season is because the writers strike saved it. I'll bet if there were 24 episodes (instead of what, 13?) Then it would have become old really fast.
Honestly, it doesn't hold a candle to "Dexter" or "Supernatural" -- the REAL best shows on TV!

I'm just glad Jeph Loeb is gone. I used to like his writing like the Long Halloween but now, especially after Ultimates 3. I think he's gone the way of Frank Miller.

God I hope we don't lose Pushing Daisies. The cost of bringing Fuller back to Heroes is too much, I can't stand the thought.

You're all wrong. Im a Heroes fan and I love this season, but the best show on TV is not on any basic cable channel, its on a network called FX and its a show called The Shield. FX is not afraid to push the boundaries and The Shield has been great since it started. Now in its last season, this is by far THE BEST show on TV. Not Heroes or Pushing Daisies!

Heroes has gone for a poop this season. Hiro! Save us!

I wonder if Chris Nolan's "bad third installment" comments can be applied here as well.

I second Comicfan's assessment of Season 3, the only reason why most of you hate it is because you have attention span of a goldfish too many characters and complex story lines are too much for your feeble minds.

Heroes: Villains is Heroes third season since we last saw them from Season 2. The show needs new writers to create newer and better episodes to attract the fans attention. Hayden Panettiere is by far my favorite female in the show and it would be a major embarassment if her own show was destroyed and cut from the airwaves. Hayden is sexy and intelligent and she needs Heroes to make her an iconic female role model for television as well. Hayden is a bigger star because of the last two seasons. Heroes received 8 Golden Globe Niminations and Hayden was nominated as best actress of supporting actress along with Ali Larter.

Company Man was and still is the greatest episode of Heroes ever. Man, that is some good stuff.

I don't have the chance to watch Heroes ... I always buy it on DVD in the fall.
Is it going to be worth purchasing?
As for great TV shows ... Supernatural is probably my own personal favorite, especially after this past episode with the suicidal teddy bear. LOL SO DAMN FUNNY !!!

Pushing Daisies was dumb. Im glad its gone. Heroes season 3 is amazing. I love this season. I love seeing all the new people. Im glad they dont have the same people every week. This shows that people around the world have powers, not just these 9 people. Season 2 was kinda lame, but this season is amazing.

Tick, you're the one with the goldfish attention span... ooh, look, a paperclip!

The whole Heroes tv show is just a rip off of all the comic book characters that ever existed, their powers and storylines all rolled into one show called Heroes. Smallville FTW!!! And just imagine they are ripping off flash this season now with this stupid female speedster but all she can do is run fast unlike the flash who has superspeed.

Do these Heroes even have jobs anymore? What do Mohinder, Peter, Parkman and Claire's mom do for a living? How do they make money to pay the rent?
And what kind of 'dad' is Parkman? Where is Molley?
Hiro, Ando and Nathan never seem to be in the office... And now Claire has dropped out of school???? They're missing the 'regular people' aspect of the show that made it believable and endearing in season 1.
