There should be a law against putting scary things on moving traffic.
I wonder how many accidents that thing will cause.

Not a big fan of Northman but the new Hulk movie looks way better than Ang Lee's version. Ill be sure to catch this one when it hits theathers but i dont think it will beat Iron Man or Dark Knight records. Be cool to see the Iron Man and Wolverine cameos though. By the way anyone know whos going to be in the avengers movie? I know they are trying to get th3 big 3 in:Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America. But whos going to be the other members since almost evryone in the marvel universe has been an Avenger at one time or another. Will any heroes with movies already out(or soon coming out)like Spiderman, Ghost Rider and Wolverine be Avengers? Cuz really in my opinion Ant Man, Wasp, Vision, are just crappy characters that would ruin the film. What do you guys think?

Doode thats awesome. I cant wait for this movie.

Posted by: Tali on May 22, 2008 at 04:19:35

The Hulk will be awesome no doubt and the Avengers will most likely consist of iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and maybe Vision, Ant-Man and Wasp

Posted by: David on May 22, 2008 at 04:24:47

this movie has no excitement around it. Nobody at my school wants to watch this movie. Screw Edward Norton...he sucks as an actor.

I highly doubt Spidey, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, etc... would be in Avengers because those other movies are done by their various studios (i.e. Spidey and Ghost Rider at Sony, Wolverine, F.4, Daredevil at Fox). Unless Marvel Studios were to get sole control of those properties, that probably won't happen. The reason that Hulk (a Universal release) will be in Avengers (alongside Iron Man, which is put out by Paramount Pictures) is due to the fact that Marvel Studios has control over the property.
From what I've read, in 2010 we'll see Iron Man II and Thor. Then in 2011 will be Captain America and The Avengers would follow that flick. I've also read that the team may be filled out by the characters of Wasp, Ant-man (who's in his own upcoming flick), Hawkeye, and (possibly, though tentative) Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch. Some friends of mine have even heard rumors of Black Widow as well, but those are just rumors (I think those rumors are spurred from the fact that Black Widow is in the Ultimate Avengers dvd. Plus this is also spurred by the idea that Samuel L. Jackson played a cameo in Iron Man as (Ultimate Universe) Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D., who is also in the Ultimate Avengers dvd).

Given that the Hulk was also in the Ultimate Avengers dvd and will be in the Avengers movie, it's being said that the Hulk will make an appearance in Iron Man II (saw that on a thread on this very site only a week after Iron Man was released earlier this month).

As far as casting goes, the latest I've heard is that Matthew McConaughey is the frontrunner for the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America.
The role of Thor (as I've read in Wizard's latest issue) is most likely to be filled by an unknown actor (though that could be subject to change, you never know).

---Later!

What he said, and btw Edward Norton is a great actor

Posted by: andy on May 22, 2008 at 06:03:40

when i saw the headline for this, i thought it was gonna be something like the 3d cover for the Empire magazine that we have in the uk.

HUUUUUUUUUUGE disappointment! but i'm sure the film won't be

also on a side note: why is it that WB managed to come up with an absolutley insane viral campaign whereas no other film teams seem to have bothered. Hellboy tried but it failed miserably, and i sure didn't follow it lol

anyone else think that they should at least try it?

HULK TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!!!!!!

Posted by: Elvis on May 22, 2008 at 06:10:10

ha thats pretty awesome

Posted by: foo_man_ju on May 22, 2008 at 06:14:13

I can honestly see some bad pub based on that buss...

I mean I have no issues and would love to see that thing drivin' down the street...but, in NY?

I can hear the complaint line ringin off the hook cause of some 4 year old girl or out-of-state tourist no doubt.

Nice job Marvel.

foo_man_ju, speaking from a business sense, I don't think there's such a thing as "bad" publicity.....ANY publicity is good publicity...just look at shock rock artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Marilyn MAnson, etc....they've made a career out of negative publicity.

Posted by: Mr Blue on May 22, 2008 at 07:13:43

@ andy
Don't mean to sound calous dude - but anyone give a thought to the fact that one of the principal actors in TDK DIED and that alone may have been responsible for ensuring the success of the viral campaign. As GammaBob says ANY plublicity is good publicity.

Great to see the publicity machine moving (literally) at last. Can't wait till June 13th!!!

Posted by: Sparkticus Prime on May 22, 2008 at 07:17:10

If that bus was travelling down the streets here in Ireland, the local clergy would probably be out with their Exorcism books, and splashing holy water at any one who stepped of the bus haha.....Awesome all the same

Posted by: Dr. Doom on May 22, 2008 at 07:55:30

David - Did you really just say Ed Norton sucks as an actor? Have you actually seen any of his movies? Primal Fear was an amazing movie just because of him (since Richard Gere is in fact terrible). American History X, Fight Club, Italian Job....all great movies. Know what you are talking about before you say someone sucks.

Anywho, these are all really cool promotional ideas. I especially like the bus. And Sparkticus, thats a riot with the Holy Water.

Posted by: Arek on May 22, 2008 at 07:56:18

Andy, I think the success of TDK's viral campaign is based on one thing: money. WB clearly shoved a ton of money into the marketing for TDK, which means they had the extra cash to pile into numerous web sites to generate buzz among hardcore internet users. The reason other movies don't have the same luxury is because the real success of "viral" campaigns is still completely unproven. It just doesn't have the reach as other forms of traditional advertising.

In the case of Hulk, they made the right decision in terms of where to advertise. The hardcore fans on the internet are going to be seeing it no matter what. The marketing firm for the Hulk decided that they needed to shout from the rooftops that this is a brand new Hulk, which explains all of the large format outdoor advertising.

Gamma...

Most of the time true...any pub is good pub...especially if your talking individuals...but ever hear of Gigli? rhymes with really...

Bad press can really kill a move before it even starts...speed racer anyone?

TDK has some fantastic marketing and I love the theme music in the trailers...very powerful.

As for Norton, he's cool...I liked that magician flick...matter o fact...I liked that magician flick that had TDK in it too! Seems their facing off again this summer.

Posted by: andy on May 22, 2008 at 08:13:57

Yeah, I agree with you both Mr Blue & Arek. So it was mainly due out of respect to Mr Ledger you think?

Certainly possible... I'm going to see Indy4 tomorrow night! Can't wait!

i wonder if they'll release alot of IncHulk merchandise like tdk :P

then i'll have no money if they do :D

Posted by: nerd killer on May 22, 2008 at 08:24:15

viral campaigns are retarded just watch the trailer and then watch the f-cking movie!!!!!

Posted by: Your Name Here on May 22, 2008 at 08:45:13

Um, wait a minute. Going off topic for a sec.

M0V!E M@N!@C, what do you mean by Wolverine cameo in Hulk??? I know Tony Stark talks to Ross, but I've heard nothing about Logan making an appearance.

Steven The Comic Book Artist !, what's your source for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch appearing in Avengers?? If it's not gossip, please provide a source.

Posted by: Man on May 22, 2008 at 09:01:55

Heath Ledger dieing was no doubt going to bring more people to see the movie because people who are fans of Heath but didnt care to see him as the joker will now go to see it just for the sole fact that it is his last movie, and even people who just liked him as an actor may go to see more then once because of this.
Also there are going to be so many little kids crapping there pants when they see that but lol.

This is a Hulk article, why the DC fanboys always comment and say their movies are better.
This shows you how scared they are that their precious Dark Knight will not do as good as other movies this summer, like iron man. Nuff said.

Posted by: Double D on May 22, 2008 at 09:32:35

Hulk looks great this is my number 1 movie I want to see, but I also can't wait to see the new Batman movie. The Joker looks great. I just hope both movies do well because I want se see more sequels for all of them.

Posted by: Double D on May 22, 2008 at 09:33:34

MY POINT IS THAT ITS O.K. TO LIKE BOTH MARVEL AND DC MOVIES.
