Christina Cabot on The Incredible Hulk
Source:He-Man
May 16, 2008

Moviehole got a chance to talk to Christina Cabot about playing Major Kathleen 'Kat' Sparr in The Incredible Hulk. Here's a clip:

I'll tell you what was nerve-wracking – learning how to handle an AK14! You see, although Sparr is very technically inclined and we only see her handling the strategic elements of the Hulk hunt, she is a decorated soldier who has definitely seen action. So it was important to do some military training along with Tim Roth and the team of commando's. Our military trainers and advisors were really terrific. Because of them, I was able to transmute any nervous energy into the adrenaline needed for "storming a room" during practice drills!

This movie is really shaping up. I'm excited to see Hulk do his thing.

who the hell cares what she thinks? oh and if I happen to be first I don't care cuz i'm not gonna say it becuase i'm not a prepubescent 13 year old.

Gotta' agree with Clark. Why are bit characters doing promo for this movie? Other than some promo from Louis L and Tim Roth, we've seen nothing. William Hurt off camera is incomprehensible and the only thing that Norton has done is come up with a statement saying he and everyone else got along fine. What is this? Norton and Tyler should be out there selling this movie.

The longer this goes on, the more dismal it looks. Still hoping this was the one that redeems the franchise - we'll see.

One last thing - the CGI is terrible. Would have been fine if they made like Beowulf. But the bad cgi plus real life = Garfield.

If they wanted CGI, they should have spoken with Peter Jackson for a reference. If they didn't think prosthetics were good enough, they should have looked at Favreau or Del Toro.

(Sigh)

i dont understand why everyone is praising Favreau all of a sudden. yeah iron man was awesome, but i think it was robert downey jr that actually carried the movie and not favreau's directing style. in fact in moments where downey isn't the certain of attention, the movie kinda of lags and the action set pieces left a lot to be desired and were poorly directed.

i think a huge part of why iron man was so successful was because fan boys like you and me just loved how that suit looked, it was just amazing to see it on the screen.

the hulk looks promissing, but yeah i dont understand why norton or tyler or anyone arent promoting this thing.

Favreau is the one who wanted Downey in the 1st place, so it's his vision along with Downey's acting that combined to make it a great film.
An please, that suit, tho looking god, realistically looked like the plastic put on BMX bikes today, not even the sound FX could convince me it was metal,LOL

I think we'll be in for a big surprise- that this film will have mountains of substance, channeled through its cast, all the way down to bit characters, as you say.

When Norton took the helm of the script, you suddenly saw top of their craft actors/actresses signing up to be on board, and the performances they've contributed aren't likely to come across in 2 min. or 30 sec. trailers.

I think the action's looking better, the cast is first rate, and from what I've heard, there'll also be a degree of humor involved, as
SPOILER ALERT (Do NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED)

Banner becomes a pizza delivery boy back in the states.

No joke- he delivers to a guy named Jack McGee, and a security guard, played by Lou Ferrigno.

I think this'll end up being like Jackson's King Kong, insofar as globe-spanning set pieces, but with better acting (*& not nearly as good FX. But who needs those anyway when you're got the most BELIEVABLE Special Effect EVER: Good Acting!!!)
