WHAT'S UP WITH ALL THESE PEOPLE TALKING **** ABOUT IRON MAN AND THE DARK KNIGHT, IRON MAN WAS ****ING BRILLIANTLY DONE, AND I'M SURE THE DARK KNIGHT WILL BE TOO, SO **** ALL YOU *****ES TALKIN ****, AND GODFATHERPT3... GO **** YOURSELF, SERIOUSLY GET A ****IN LIFE!

godfatherpt3, if all you're going to do is badmouth Batman, then why are you here. This board is for people looking forward to The Dark Knight. And just so you know, I too enjoyed Iron Man, but I'm pretty sure I'll like The Dark Knight more. And as for your predictions, I have a feeling The Dark Knight will do better than The Hulk, mainly because people still remember the last one, which was a complete disaster. And there's a reason why Bale's Bruce Wayne is "too serious" for you. If you know anything about Batman, it's a much darker story than Iron Man, since Bruce becomes Batman because his parents were murdered right in front of him.

Zowies!! Sweet trailer!

The Joker making "hmm" at the end.. priceless

Man what's with all you people? Iron man was agood movie, no doubt - but Batman Begins was still better, and I'm sure the Dark Knight will be better than that. Tony Stark - great characetr/ Iron Man - great Superhero, but Bruce Wayne is a better - more complex - character, and Batman is just a more interesting character than IronMan. They are both pretty similar, but I think everyone has to face - in movies and comics - Batman has better stories. Not only is he a superhero, but a detective, and his darkness makes him interesting. Now, I'm not hating on Ironman, but I have to side with Bats. And anyone who really gets upset over this should maybe just calm down and go read a comic book.

all you retards talkin trash need to shut the f**k up OK YEA ironman was good but the dark knight will be the greatest comic book movie ever i LOVE that its not just another kiddie movie and is being takin serious. all i can say is wait til july 18 and all you haters will see that the dark knight is goin to dominate the box office. im glad ironman did good but tdk is goin to crush ironman.....wait and see........... oh and fyi dont hate on a film before you even seen it let alone released in theatres

The tv spots are just edited trailers for smaller time slots, they aren't meant to show new things, just to show things.

And darthpat's right godfatherpt3 (which wasn't as good as 1 or 2), Batman is adarker role, more serious - just because it is based from a comic doesn't mean it has to be light-hearted. Besides, if you read a little Iron Man right now - or when he was an alcoholic - he wasn't just sweet and charming, he had his problems too. Especially in Civil War - where he is distraught for being the cause of the entire thing. Pretty twisted and dark, huh - causing an entire war so you can "save" humanity. Sounds serious to me.

"hmmmmmm!
my sides are still spiting i can't wait to see this whole scene with him and batman.

LURVE THAT JOKER :-)

WOW! Great t.v spot and WOW! godfarterptdink switch to decaf that was some rant. I can never figure out the mentality behind pitting one genre film over another ie. "Iron Man" kicks "The Dark Knights" ass! First the obvious "The Dark knight " is not out yet so that's a conversation for the end of summer and second, can't you like two movies at the same time? hmmm that's an interesting concept. By the way Iron Man was possibly the best super hero movie maybe only second to "Superman the movie" or "Batman begins" I'm just basking in geek glory for the great entertainment we've had regarding our favorite characters! peace.

WTF? IM is a great popcorn flick, just like i'm sure that HULK and TDK are going to be great popcorn flicks. (oh yeah, Indy, too) So, why so serious? Can't we just enjoy?
godfatherpt3, the comic flicks are/will do great, but Indy will own the summer.
Just a thought here. Bruce Wayne/Tony Stark, both billionaires, both superheroes. Why is it then when Bruce Wayne needs a new suit he has to beg for one, where Tony Stark just goes downstairs and builds himself a new one?

Heather Ledger should get no awards this year besides the razzie. this man was a druggie. that we would celebrate him sends a message to kids that his his behavior is acceptable and that America rewards suicidal drug addicts . And its a ***** performance!
"3 buttons is a little nineties, Mr. Wayne." WHAT!?

Posted by: Near on May 16, 2008 at 10:40:08

bruce wayne did not beg...he just asked. besides, it adds to the realism of the batman movies. i'm not gonna get into that though, because as realistic as they are, i know they're really not. but w/e, who cares.

batman>/=iron man
simply because batman has the better rogue gallery.

Posted by: juvannorees on May 16, 2008 at 10:47:10

now i've watched other heath ledger movies and what amazes me if from the little clips so far there is nothing left of the real man in this preformance. he became the joker. i would be very surprised if he wasn't nominated but we'll all have to wait until JULY!? hope the complete work is as amazing as these clips.

Posted by: Rick Jones on May 16, 2008 at 10:57:33

Wow, Batman would be pretty much screwed without Lucius Fox...

Posted by: SteveG on May 16, 2008 at 11:02:37

Looks cool! Love the great shot of Batman gliding down to the street to confront Joker! I'm also liking the different color palette. Begins had too much brown/sepia, this one uses a bit of blue, which I prefer for Batman's world. Can't wait!!

Posted by: FireFly's Enigma on May 16, 2008 at 11:24:30

I love the "Uhmmm" at the end. I watched that spot at least six times and that line always gets me.

Come on man...can't we all just be glad to be comic fans this summer, as so many others stated. I don't think a actor, playing a comic role, ever was nominated for an Oscar. Would it be great if Ledger got a nod for supporting actor and Downey for best actor. Some people on the Oscar board would have heart attacks. jk.

To godfatherpt3/ ****ing idiot. Let's compare resumes at who is the REAL FILMMAKER:

Christopher Nolan--Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight.

Jon Favreau--Made, Elf, Zathura, Iron Man.

Although I enjoyed Iron Man, Favreau should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as Nolan. What is that 2 kids movies and a comedy before Iron Man...yeah, real credible. LMAO. Oh and Nolan's flicks...some of the darkest, most-twisted, bad-ass, original works of art to date? Thought so. NOLAN=GOD.

Posted by: ayenlou on May 16, 2008 at 12:08:20

godfatherpt3

I think he just wants attention... Lets ignore his childish comments. Iron Man was a great fun movie and I enjoyed it very much and I am looking towards that franchise but I don't think you should be comparing the two. Both are great movies in their own ways. So just leave it be and stop pissing off everyone here.

Posted by: FanBoiiiii on May 16, 2008 at 12:14:09

So what if Batman gets help. He uses people like tools from his utility belt. Yeah, including you Alfred.

Posted by: ChuJong on May 16, 2008 at 12:16:15

I agree with some of the other posters; we should not debate on which movie/director is better than the other. Instead, let's just post our comments regarding this news, which is the release of the 3rd TV spot for "The Dark Knight". I saw it and didn't think it was that great. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see TDK! It's just that this last trailer didn't make me more excited to watch the movie. Afterall, my excitement for this movie is already at its super maximum level. PEACE!! :D

Posted by: another clown on May 16, 2008 at 12:23:55

Green- Oh come on, man, get off your soapbox! Honestly, the death itself was an accident, let the poor man rest in peace, yeah?

As for TDK, I think he deserves a nomination, no doubt about it.

Posted by: Wingedbatcreature on May 16, 2008 at 12:37:58

All I can say is WOW! This movie is going to be so AMAZING!!!!! Nolan has done one hell of a job of reinventing the Batman series. The Dark Knight is the MOST ANTICIPATED movie of the year. It is going to blow Iron Man so far away peple are gonna be like "there was an Iron man movie?" Godfatherpt3 is so so so wrong on this issue. Now I am not at all a "comic book movie fan" but I know my ****, and when it comes to Batman he reigns over any ohter comic book character.

Posted by: HandsomeJohn on May 16, 2008 at 12:58:34

That trailer packs a helluva punch for only 30 seconds.

They love showing the party scene.

Posted by: Fanticon on May 16, 2008 at 13:09:10

The reason this movie will be so huge is because of all the people out there that didn't see Batman Begins in theaters made a huge mistake...I know a lot of people who saw Begins after it hit DVD and so many people are like renewed Batman fans...they, had no idea how good it was even with the great word of mouth it got...most general audiences laughed off the idea of another Batman movie, but when they finally got around to seeing it...well, you know the rest! TDK is going to be an unprecedented event!

Posted by: Batfan on May 16, 2008 at 13:14:43

B-Rabs, the reason for the discrepancy in the way Ledger (and other actors) phrases his lines is that the director of a movie usually does a scene a few times. Each time for differing reasons (angle, lighting, change of lines and, in this case, inflection). From that pool, he extracts the best "take" and others end up discarde, packaged for special DVD features or are relegated to trailers. Sometimes scenes are filmed specifically for trailers. Hoped that helped.

To you Iron Man afficianados - yes, shellhead is a great comic character, but he'll never be what Batman is and always will be, period. Your postings sound like petulant children who need attention. bat-fans don't say much because we don't HAVE to. We already know what the movie will do (*cough* - blow away Iron Man *cough*), so we sit back and wait for our high-quality movie, while you throw tantrums and soil your diapers. Have at it, Iron Pampers.
