Hulk and Iron Man Effects From Vancouver
April 12, 2008
The Vancouver Sun has published an article talking about the special effects that were created by The Embassy for Iron Man and Image Engine for The Incredible Hulk in Vancouver. Here's a clip, which talks about a specific effects scene in The Incredible Hulk:
Shawn Walsh, Image Engine's visual effects executive producer, said his company had people at the live shoot in Toronto and in Rio de Janiero.
Some of the work can be intense. Walsh says the most complex series of shots is something called the Blood Drop Sequence, in which a drop of infected blood falls through three floors of a factory and lands in a bottle.
"That shot has been in production here for more than a year," says Walsh.

I see more people saying "FIRST!" when they're really second that it's starting to piss me off. You are all so friggin' lame! I've been first twice and have yet to announce it to the world. Do you think we're blind? Do you win some kind of award or any kind of recognition? No, you don't. Seriously!

Sounds like the long blood drop scene is the title sequence. Why do all superhero movies have to have a pointless, long and clearly expensive CGI sequence for their titles? It's just a waste of time and money.

Yeah Holy, I'm totally psyched more so for the new Hulk movie.

Two months away! Start selling this movie al-friggin-ready!!! We still have no official movie poster in theaters! WHAT THE HELL?! No Standee, no poster. We just finally got a "teaser" and we get a new "trailer" at the Iron Man premiere! Five weeks before the movie opens! This snail marketing STINKS!!!
Iron man stuff, is all over the place. Give us MORE HULK STUFF!!!

You know when they were working on that blood title sequence for a year, they were also working on other effect sequences during the time as well. Just to let you know an effect like this takes time but they're not going to be consumed in one whole year by one effect sequence when they could have individual teams do different things and what not.

As much as I'm looking forward to this movie and am optimistic that it will kick major arse. I feel that judging solely from a financial point of view, it would have made more sense to realease this in the winter 2008/2009 when there'd be less competition.
I loved the 2003 version but unfortunately, the majority of underaverage iq, monosyllabic movie goers out there didn't. And most people still seem to think this is a sequal, which unfortunately, will turn a lot of people away from seeing it in theatres. As it stands now I think this movie will do so-so in theatres but the buzz about it really won't hit until it comes out on DVD. I think, like the Punisher, only the DVD sales will warrent a sequal. Just my predictions, I could be wrong. Hopefully, for the sake of the movie ( and possible sequals), I'm wrong.

okay MIKE seriously, if you're taking this that seriously you need to step away from your computer, go outside and make some friends. Seriously, sheesh.
Interesting info though, i guess this is what causes the Hunt for the hulk in the first place. And GammaBob its sequEl. And when the advert starts showing more, i doubt people will not want to go see it, simply because of all the action it promises.

You know I'm still on the fence about the Hulk, I really want to see an actual trailer. The teaser I thought was Meh, and didn't do anything for me. But Iron Man I can not wait for, I believe it will be the best comic adaption to date!

I like both the hulk and iron man but, The Incredible Hulk movie will kick the **** out of the Iron Man movie, This is in my opinion of course, I like iron man but he is not the incredible hulk who is the ****. My mom made me an incredible hulk cake when i was 2 years old, because i use to collect the comics and watched the tv series which starred bill bixby and lou ferrigno. I know both movies will be good but the hulk, there is no competion against that.

I also love the fact that they are trying to stay true to the 70`s series and the comics, to me that equalls gold.
