The trailer says New Year's Day, not Christmas Day. What's up?

Posted by: true on December 1, 2008 at 17:18:12

This movie's starting to look pretty promising, but what's the deal with changing the opening from Christmas day to new year's?

Posted by: Big Pine on December 1, 2008 at 17:21:31

They need to call it "The Dud". It will definitely tank bigtime!!!

Posted by: dreamworker on December 1, 2008 at 17:58:32

I just always wanted to say first and the other day i read that book the cosmic ordering service and the other one the secret and hey presto....Right two swedish blondes a ferrari and a one billion dollers...

That featurette's footage looked incredible!! I can't wait.

Posted by: brandon on December 1, 2008 at 19:20:11

this is what is SO ridiculous about kids in here who constantly complain about everything. THEY DON'T READ THE ARTICLES.

It's all about the bashing to them. I wish they would start to appreciate that at LEAST superhero films are being made and not laughed at...like years ago.

i love the part when scarlett johansson bites the apple, she looks so sexy.

Get ready for the worst movie of the year awards.

Posted by: Aaric on December 1, 2008 at 22:36:07

Lol at the lady at the end of the first video.

"It's absolutely unlike anything else I've seen on film."

Where was this lady in 2005?

Posted by: Guy in a suit on December 1, 2008 at 22:37:48

So very ****ty.

Posted by: Guy in a suit on December 1, 2008 at 23:52:06

My left nut can direct a movie better than Sin City.

Posted by: I'm wearing pants on December 2, 2008 at 02:35:05

guy in suit you probably also thought that broke back mountain was a movie only about cowboys. Oh if your left nut can direct a better movie then sin city your right nut must be jealous and second why hasn't your left nut made any money directing? Shut up you talentless hack! The spirit might not rule the box office but it still looks like it'll be a fun movie!!

Posted by: Guy in a suit on December 2, 2008 at 03:49:23

Reading your pointless posts are more fun than watching Sin City.

I see a lot of happy people have decide to throw there 2 cents in on what they feel is going to be a terrible movie, and once again, here I am to defend the fact that this movie, while directed by a man who not only saved an industries downfall by coming up with one of the greatest mini series ever written and inked in comics (THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS) which in my opinion deserves to be a movie, but also has worked behind the scenes in many successful Hollywood features. If you think this movie is "Lame", or it will "Blow" then just don't go. Don't insult a man who has more talent, personality and creativity to live a life that most of will probably never ever know. So once again, in closing, to you critics, Bah Humbug and have a very Merry F U!

Good Night Chukklers!

This movie looks good but I'll watch it when it is out on DVD.

I believe the one that says New Year's Day is the British trailer.

Posted by: jrobert on December 2, 2008 at 15:57:37

I`m definitely going to go see The Spirit.Frank Miller will have to show us what he`s got on Christmas Day(although I`ll probably go see the film a few days after Christmas because I never go to see movies on Christmas day)

Not a Tumour - yeah.... but this still looks AWFUL. ;-)

Posted by: David Lavner on December 7, 2008 at 13:25:33

Amen to that not a tumour. criticizing this movie before it comes out is not exactly a logical thing to do.ok, so you guys saw the footage and trailers, but when it all comes together, you just might like it. it looks like it has a good story, stunning visuals. anyway, this is frank millers FIRST directorial debut, so give him a chance to honor the spirit!
