Robert Downey Jr. Talks Iron Man 2
Source:Entertainment Tonight
April 3, 2009

Entertainment Tonight talked to Robert Downey Jr. about Iron Man 2, which begins filming on Monday. Here's an excerpt from the interview:

"The film is almost entirely about character, and yet we still have twice as much action as we did last time, so it's going to be nuts," Robert tells our own Thea Andrews of the super sequel, set to start filming Monday. "Essentially 'Iron Man 2' is about looking behind the armor, or the armature, of a superhero. It's one thing to say you're Iron Man, it's another thing to be fully ready to do that."

As for co-star Scarlett Johansson, who plays the femme fatale Black Widow in the sequel, Robert says, "We've been rehearsing and she's in insane shape. She's getting lean and mean."

Iron Man 2, opening May 7, 2010, co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell and Samuel L. Jackson.

"Iron Man" was great, a real breath of fresh air to the superhero movie genre. I hope they keep the same kind of irreverent tone from the first film. I am curious, however, to find out how they will tie in this episode with the whole Avengers franchise. Any information out there yet on possible easter eggs in this film, ties to The Hulk, Cap, or Thor?

I'm impressed with Marvel's Iron Man franchise. It succeeds as an action adventure film, and now has tremendous potential to delve into a very fertile character. There are many possibilities here, and I am interested in seeing what happens. I am confident in Favreau (sp) and RDJ. This could very well be Marvel's flagship franchise.

Ah I remember the days when the internet was still new and exciting. I was a wee lad, and crude, random and anonymous comments seasoned with swearing was the thrill of a life time. Then I grew up and realized its actually quite odd and un-healhty to do that. Please forgotten testicle, treat others as you want to be treated. peace.

X-Men movie: FBI called in after Wolverine is leaked onto the net

In a statement, the studio said: "We immediately contacted the appropriate legal authorities and had it removed. We forensically mark our content so we can identify sources that make it available or download it. The source of the initial leak and any subsequent postings will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law - the courts have handed down significant criminal sentences for such acts in the past.

"The FBI and the MPAA [Motion Picture Association of America] also are actively investigating this crime. We are encouraged by the support of fansites condemning this illegal posting and pointing out that such theft undermines the enormous efforts of the filmmakers and actors and, above all, hurts the fans

Awesome news. Favreau next we have Avengers ok?

"Character centered" doesn't guarantee a great movie, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, RDJ.

Come to think of it, why doesn't RDJ play a double role as Rhodes AND Stark? He makes a great black guy, and that cuts out one less major actor.

Still won't top Batman.... Never... Sorry Robert Downey Douchbag... Shouldn't have talked so much smack about other comic book movies and maybe then you're movie WOULD have been the most anticipated... loser

Posted by: fandom is the only way on April 3, 2009 at 13:10:37

this is going to suck! Everybody knows it is.. every single movie that's released in theatres blows chunks. The only great movies are the ones nobody has ever heard of. The rest are never faithful to the original radio shows or comics. why do they even make movies? i mean, only us real fans know what the world wants. we are the only ones that have a clue about REAL entertainment! we are so lucky to be so smart and can look down at the stupid people that are feed this crap like sheep...everybody agree? i thought you would.
