Looks like they are completely starting over; I wish they could stay consistant with the Lee one. Mind you that one wasn't that good just simply build from that. I do like the fact that this Hulk will be more vulnerable; it isn't much fun when the hero is unstoppable.

not second

Very cool trailer looks like the old TV show !!!

Posted by: Bobby on June 2, 2008 at 12:00:34

That was pretty sweet. I like the way they're tryin' to incorporate the TV series plotline. It makes more sense than tryin' to develop a new type of bomb.

man this movie is going to be awsome can't wait

Posted by: ooo on June 2, 2008 at 12:00:55

yes

Posted by: Vipz on June 2, 2008 at 12:02:03

Would be a pointless movie if the Hulk was totally unstoppable. Remember Chronicles of Rid****? Nobody could stop Vin Diesel and the movie just got to be super boring. And I WAS second ... Oh the shame .....!

Posted by: Akavia on June 2, 2008 at 12:02:08

Nah that movie sucked

Posted by: Ponyboy12000 on June 2, 2008 at 12:02:44

Yeah it does look like the TV show even the music is similar

AWESOME!

I was mistaken. Not first...(sob)(sniff) (BANG!)...(thud).

i really hope there is just like really quick flashbacks of a re-telling origin like the show, as the comics origin is somewhat dated, and ang lees was ok just ... yeah, i rather have quick little flashes as bruce dreams, sorta like Bruce did in Batman Begins!

While I definitely look forward to this movie, I don't understand why (A) they're paying so much significant homage to the old TV show, and (B) why people are EXCITED for that? Nothing against the old TV show or anything...

Why not give Batman some shark repellent spray in The Dark Knight? I think that would be great, the way they'd be trying to incorporate the old TV series.

great footage- people need to go see this twice in its first weekend!

Posted by: DrewBee on June 2, 2008 at 12:13:38

Dan,

Batman in the 60's was intended as a paradoy on the comics, its way too campy.

and the themes of the old hulk show were somewhat dark, or can be brought to the screen, fresh and taken seriously, the lonely man walk theme is heared in the score, that great as it shows how banner is an outcast, both movie and show took that theme serious! and the origin of the show is more phesable then the comics as those type of tests are dated and the shows can be in the light of today

this is all just me guessing, but i really dont know, but the show is and was very enjoyable.

Dan:

The reason giving the tv show homage is because the tv show with Bill Bixby was great!!!! Ang Lee's version of the Hulk was just too moody and crappy, especially with those stupid split screen scenes. Ang Lee tried too hard to make the Hulk into a psuedo-Spider-man flick and he couldn't do it.

Honestly, I can't wait for this one because I know more care was taken with this version as opposed to the last Hulk.

Nice, I liked how they kept the Ang Lee Transitions. so it would seem.

To me this trailer seems to be the bastard child of the old TV show and Ang Lee's Hulk...

which, YES I LIKED AND STILL OWN.

so burn me - because I have it, I don't care because I -unlike the mass of comic book fans don't mind if they change my hero or it they alter this or that because I understand and know who my hero(s) are so if someone wants to go and mess about it, thats fine with me just as long as they get the characters soul. a great example of this is, yup you guessed it...THE MOTHERF**KING JOKER...

Everyone *****ed
Everyone moaned
Everyone hated it

then when they showed THE MOTHERF**KING JOKER in action

Everyone loved it
Everyone praised it
Everyone can't wait for it.

this has always been my deal stories and characters have always been changed altered over the years, its what keeps them going.

oh another thing, The Spirit...people are *****ing about his suit...well, if you all recall, back in the days comics had to print all blacks as blues thats why superman's hair, wonder woman's hair is BLUE when it should be black...

For LOU DIAMOND PHILIPS SAKE here fans....get with the program and stop *****ing. understand that...

IT'S OK JUST AS LONG AS THEY GET THE SOUL OF THE CHARACTER

I'm done, let the BURNING, BAD-NAMING COMMENCE.

oh and by the way, yeah wait until you see whats coming out soon on the DC side...

bwahahahahah!

Don't make me Ang Lee, you wouldn't like me when I'm Ang Lee!

Posted by: Don't Make Me Angry!!!! on June 2, 2008 at 12:20:33

Ummmm...the only movie franchise that DC has marketable is Batman!!!! Superman Returns flopped and they can't come up with a Wonder Woman movie, nor a Justice League movie!!!!!

They need to take notes from Marvel and just go for it!!!

I think the use of the shows themes is to atract a broader audience. Because so many people enjoyed that show and enjoy the hulk cause of it. It will bring in older audience to. I think this will be one of if not the best superhero movie at has all the elements to be.

Posted by: DrewBee on June 2, 2008 at 12:26:52

Don't Make Me Angry,

SUPERMAN RETURNS:
Budget $200 million (est.)
Gross revenue $391,081,192

to be honest, thats not a flow... the studio made their money back and then some... sooo just because it wasnt a FAN fave doesnt make it a flop...

cheers!

Posted by: DrewBee on June 2, 2008 at 12:28:58

they are showing a connection to the show because, they dont wanna show a complete connection to the rather somewhat recent previous film

Posted by: Angel on June 2, 2008 at 12:40:04

Hmm, this is a poorly cone trailer, relative to the previous ones. I think this one is meant to reach out to both much older and much younger audiences who may not have heard of the hulk, or may not be interested in a super hero movie

Posted by: Randy on June 2, 2008 at 12:41:51

DrewBee,

Superman Catches Stuff...er...Returns was considered by many a flop. The budget went well over 200 million, and that doesn't include the marketing costs, etc. Yes, the studio eventually made money on it, but it wasn't anywhere near where they were expecting, especially after how much they invested in it. And yeah, it wasn't a fan fave- not even close. Fans are where a lot of the comic movie $ comes from. SR might have been able to pull out of a complete crash and burn, but they're going to have to work extra hard to earn back any momentum on future Supes movies.

Posted by: Angel on June 2, 2008 at 12:42:24

*done; the voice makes it feel like a corny action comedy trailer that reverts to something ridiculous at the end, like 'In 2008, only 1 basketball player can save the world... and he is WILL FERRELL!'
