We've received the new Japanese trailer for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra which you can watch using the player below! Opening in theaters on August 7, the Stephen Sommers-directed action-adventure stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Said Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid.

From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite G.I. JOE team uses the latest in next-generation spy and military equipment to fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious Cobra organization to prevent them from plunging the world into chaos.

That said, it looks like, at the very least, it'll be an entertaining popcorn movie. The hate this movie is getting beforehand is ridiculous.

That looked better than our trailers. They even cut some of the bad special effect shots shorter for this one, kinna funny. I'll check this out on DVD for sure.

I feel sorry for anyone involved in the making of this movie, especially the actors, who will probably never find work again after this stink bomb drops.

G.I.Joe will be a total summer movie. I've already bought my Rise Of Cobra Baroness and Destro toys. On the back of the Destro card it says that his face was horribley burned/scarred and he was injected with nanites that recostructed his face and turned it into a steel mask. Sort of like Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four movies. That kind of bummed me out a little. But there is also a two pack Destro & Ancestor. The ancestor comes with the iron mask he is forced to wear as punishment. So I don't know if Destro wears a mask or if his face becomes the mask.
Either way, I'll shut down my brain for two hours and be a five year old kid again.

Would all you cry baby haters, Give this movie a chance! You guys have only seen trailers. So what if you think the trailers are not up to par. Relax enjoy the movie. No one said this was gunna be anything close to source material! I'll admit T-2:ROTF wasn't a bad ass action flick but lacked some plot or story behind it, I still liked it alot none the less! The film will prolly be like that but who cares, That's what GI Joe is about action excitement and Joes vs. Cobras

The story looks really predictable and dumb.

You have to be total wuss if you're going to attack the Eiffel tower. Oh, they destroyed a giant statue with the most advanced weapon they have. A normal missle can do that. Yeah, real badass villians. It's pretty much like kicking down a kid's sand castle.

The reason why I believe this movie will surprise people because it has a lot of plot twists. Indeed on the surface it looks predictable, but it really isn't.

If I hear one more complaint about the accelerator suits, I am going to burn down a comic book store. It's just part of the movie, get over it. And some of you don't remember that the first run of "Joe" 3.5's were pretty much uniform, green outfits. Snake-Eyes, Scarlet, and Flash were pretty much the exceptions.
