Last week brought us the news that DC Entertainment was quietly developing a TV series based on Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl. Initial reports pointed toward producer Michael Green as being involved, but it was later revealed that Greg Berlanti of “Arrow” and “The Flash” would be teaming up with “Chuck” and “No Ordinary Family” producer Ali Adler for the series. Now, speaking with CBR, Berlanti confirms the plans for the Supergirl series but refutes earlier claims that they’ve already begun pitching to networks.
“We’re just starting to work on it,” Berlanti said. “We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so. I’ll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment.”
It was initially reported that The CW had passed on the series, but now that we know that is no longer the case there is certainly a chance that Kara could be appearing alongside Oliver Queen and Barry Allen on the network.
